The filtrate in the purtex filter is consistent. The particles which are thermally bonded do not release particles. In ordinary filters, when under pressure, the unbounded strings may separate to create channels. The particles can then pass through these channels. Polypropylene fibres help keep the particles in trap even under the pressure. The purtrex filter delivers a filtrate which is consistent in quality. It can prevent the upsets while downstream processing for its entire lifetime.

This very fact makes the filter equipped with a uniform lifetime. A predictable performance is owed to its continuous manufacturing. The construction material for purtex filters is single. The material used is 100% polypropylene which helps in providing chemical compatibility along with ease in handling. Whereas the string-wound filters consist of a core, antistatic agent, string, and it also may contain resins and binders. These additives may complicate the compatibility and disposal of filter process. Purtrex depth filters are also equipped to incinerate (trace ash) helping in easy disposal. It also meets the FDA requirements for serving the food and beverage industry.
