The Pentek DGD series cartridges are among those which are specially designed for effective purification of water. The cartridges that are used in the DGD filter series are made out of 100% pure polypropylene fibers. There are two separate layers of density that enhance superior performance of the cartridges and are sized for use in the Big Blue filter housing.

The materials that are used in the manufacture of the Pentek DGD series sediment filters are NSF/ANSI approved and certified. They are easily removed from the housing, changed and replaced which have resulted those filters being one of the most efficient types in the market.

The DGD 2501 20 Dual Gradient Density Cartridges filters are designed especially for purity and will not impart odor, color or taste to the water that is being filtered. Additional to that, the construction of polypropylene provides superior resistance of chemical and is never prone to bacterial attack. The Pentek DGD-2501-20 water filter reduces the extra fine dirt, sand, silt, sediments, and rust particle and scale particles.

The DGD series is combined with the advancement of design of final filtration with appropriate pre filtration, so that it can achieve dirt holding capacity up to three times of the similar sized sediment water filter cartridges and the other standard spun or string wound cartridges. This holding capacity has been only possible for the combination of two separate gradient layers in one single filter. It is very much ideal for residential, rural, municipal applications.

The Pentek DGD-2501-20 water filter cartridges is provided with a 25 micron pre filter for fine sediment water filters layer and 1 micron post filter for extra fine sediment water filter layer. The larger diameter of the pre filter is to reduce the particle load to the post filter, so that it can allow the filter to operate at higher velocities.

The Pentek DGD-2501-20 dual gradient density cartridges filter have been more effective by increasing its depth to a full 233% compared to the other sediment filters. This filter type can be used with 20 inches high x 4-1/2 inches wide Big Blue housings and most of the other brands of water filter housing which requires this size filters.
