With the ability to reduce sediments, sand, silt, scale and rust particles from the drinking water, the 155305-43 S1-20BB sediment water filters have made their distinct mark in the water filtration industry. Due to its micron rating of 20, it can successfully filter out extremely small particles. In order to hold the dirt properly, the filter has pleated walls. It is also specifically designed to be able to tolerate chlorinated tap water that most households receive. The filter will not be damaged when used with Chlorinated water.

The filter media of the S1-20BB cartridges is properly pleated around its core which has been made using polypropylene. This provides extra strength to the filter and thus makes it last longer. The ends of this filter are immersed inside a thermo-setting plastisol from vinyl, and its netted external sheath helps in retaining uniform spacing between each pleat, even in pulsating as well as high flow streams.

The S1-20BB filter cartridges are designed in such a way that they easily fit into the whole house filter systems as well as commercial water filter systems. They can be easily installed in the big blue home water filter systems which are a trademark of the Pentair Water Treatment. One important thing for maintaining the effectiveness of the cartridges is that its shall be replaced after filtration of approximate 16 thousand gallons of water or after 4 months.

The material used to construct the S1-20BB files includes Resin Impregnated Cellulose, Vinyl Plastisol, Polypropylene and Polyethylene. Each part is made from the material which would suit it the best in order to become the best and most efficient water filter.

The S1 series cartridges are priced quite economically and thus are easily affordable. The extended width and length of this filter allows higher flow rates and long lasting usage. Therefore, this is considered to be one of the most effective water filters for obtaining pure and clear water for most general purposes.
