Pentek P1 spun bonded polypropylene cartridge is regarded as a highly efficient filter cartridge. This model of cartridges essentially uses 100 % pure polypropylene fibers in its manufacture for superior performance. The cartridges are designed for chemical compatibilities and purity. They are provided with improved sediment removal and lower frequency maintenance compared to the other filters. The spun fibers that are present in this filter acts as a great gradient density from the outer to the inner surfaces. Those fibers are properly spun together so that it can not impart any taste, odor or color to the liquid when the filter is used within the recommended limit of temperature.

The P1 is specially constructed so that it can provide superior chemical and bacterial resistance along with the filtration of sediments. Test and experiments have shown that 99.9% of the sediment particulates can be removed with this filter. The polypropylene fibers have resulted in the construction of strong filters and a longer filter life. The P-1 series filter cartridges are available for the standard water temperature as well as high water temperature. It is recommended that the water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality, and has not been disinfected, must not be used.
