As with all filters in the ECP Series, the ECP5-BB sediment filters have a pleated design which maximizes the dirt-holding capacity. They add great value to the production and process of the water purifier systems. These are highly efficient filter cartridges that use innovative polyester fibers and have higher wet strength than other cellulose filter cartridges.

The pliable end of the Pentek ECP series are color coded, according to micron rating for easy identification. The improved efficiency of Pentek E CP5-BB is the special formulation of polyester fibers and resin impregnated cellulose. The unique blend of the two materials provides improved sediment removal and less frequency maintenance than comparable filters. The efficiency of the materials used in its manufacture allows the filter to be more durable. They are easy to remove from housing and replaced, which makes the ECP Sediment filters as cost effective as possible.

The 255490-43 ECP5-BB water filter media have pleated design that is wound around a strong polypropylene core that adds strength. Its ends are immersed in a thermo-setting vinyl-plastisol. The cartridges with pleated design helps to get more than 50 % surface area compared to other filters. When both the ends are blocked by embedding and sealing together it forms a unitized end cap and gasket.

The ECP5-BB filter, when tested against other similar rated cartridges, provides better flow rates and lower pressure drop. It is due to highly efficient polyester fibers and the pleated design that have increased the surface level of the filter. It is advised not to use the water that has not been provided with adequate disinfectant or which is of unknown microbiologically quality.

The sediment ECP5-BB pleated filter has a white colored end cap for easy identification, to recognize the particular 5 micron size. This can be used with most big blue water filter housings that require a double width of four and a half and 10 inches length filters.
