Pentek has been well known for the filter performances that are dramatically improving since the first day of its introduction. The formally CP series filters, now called the ECP series sediment filters use pleated cellulose polyester design cartridges that are highly efficient and are manufactured from a special formulation of polyester fibers and resin-impregnated cellulose.

The unique blend of materials that are used in the cartridges of the ECP1-10 sediment filters provides a higher wet strength in comparison to the regular cellulose cartridge. The improved efficiency of these sediment water filters provides a high flow rate and has greater capacity for dirt holding along with maintenance of very low pressure drop.

This sediment filter media is pleated on all sides of the polypropylene core to add strength, while the ends are engrossed in a thermo vinyl plastisol setting. Sealing and embedding helps each end of the pleated blocks and binds the components together to form a unitized end cap along with a gasket. This process helps to eliminate the fine sediments and provides a stronger and durable filter construction. It is advised that water which is not provided with adequate disinfectant, of unknown quality and microbiologically un-safe, shall not be used without proper treatment.

CP series cartridge have 50% more media surface area than other comparative brands of cartridges. It features an end cap color coding system for different micron ratings, so that it can be easily identified. The standard ECP cartridges contain 10 inches of media that makes it the most unique and reliable cartridges and since they are produced within a fully automated process you can get consistent clean finished product and excellent quality.

1 Micron pleated cellulose filters come with a TAN color coded cap through which you can easily identify the particular micron size. This filter fits easily into housings from most known manufacturers where 10 inch standard water filters are required.
