The CBC-20 cartridges from the Pentek CBC series water filters are extremely effective in reducing undesirable odor, taste and chlorine deposits from potable drinking water. Its unique carbon block structure enables the reduction of Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Toxoplasma cysts as well as Entamoeba along with fine sediment to as low as 0.5 microns.

This model is comprised of polypropylene fiber with the netting design over it. This netting is done with polyethylene fiber that has an inner and outer coating of Polyolefin. It comes up in the long cylindrical body having two open ends. The end caps are made up of the material Buna-N. Another highlighted feature of 155309-43 CBC-20 Pentek water filter is its cartridge which is made up of FDA-complaint material and is excellently polished.

The filter base of the CBC-20 is carbon block, which reduces the passage of minute particles or micro organisms during the filtration procedure. For instance, there are some micro organisms that fall below the 0.5 micron category. These are Giardia, Entamoeba and the like. Although these micro particles are less harmful than bacteria, nonetheless they have effects on the purity and the quality of the water.

CBC-20 water filters have the possibility to filter bulk amounts of liquid at minimum time duration. The 155309-43 CBC-20 Filter functions against the bad taste and odor of the liquid and offers it in the most natural form. It does not impart any unwanted change in the texture of the liquid as long as it is operated within the suggested temperature. Further more, it is made of NSF certified material and can be comfortably used in homes and offices for satisfying drinking needs.

Apart from all these features, some important facts regarding the CBC-20 Pentek water purifier are: The filter shall be used only on water which is considered potable, and cartridges may contain some fine particles of carbon, so it is recommended to flush the filter for about 5 minutes before using the water that passed the filtration process.
