The Pentek GAC BB whole house water filters are granular activated carbon filters (GAC). They are highly efficient filter cartridges, that use the innovative 20 micron post filter for superior performances and is quiet resourceful for reduction of chlorine taste and odor from drinking water. The granular activated carbon cartridges are united with the capacity to reduce carbon fines from drinking water.

The 155153-43 GAC-BB carbon filter allows increased sediment removal and carbon filtration, less frequency maintenance and is recognized for producing better tasting and healthier filtered water. The GAC series carbon filters are designed for maximum amount of absorption, in order to provide better general purpose water filtration.

The filter is constructed uniquely, it lets the water enter through one end and get ahead through the whole length of carbon bed before exiting through the outer end of the cartridge. There is an internal expansion pad provided with the cartridges for minimizing bypassing and channeling. Prior to the exit through the cartridges, the 20 micron post filter contributes to reduce the entire suspended particles and carbon fines from the filtered water. It is ensured that the post filter is attached permanently to an innovative basket that is supported and secured firmly to eradicate possible bypasses.

The GAC - BB carbon filter easily fits and gets installed in Big Blue whole house water filter or any other wider range filtration system. When a new cartridge is about to be installed, it is important to flush it a little with water before consumption, so that the carbon fines are cleared and removed. It is advised that the water is flushed for at least 20 seconds prior to using the filtered water for drinking.

This size filter type can be used with any Big Blue whole water filter system and with other housing that requires 4-1/2'' x 10'' filters.
