The Pentek C-series filters, are dual purpose for sediment and drinking water, efficient units made of powered activated carbon and impregnated cellulose. These filters use innovative impregnated media for better performance and production of purified water. They are amongst the best economic solutions for general purpose water filtration systems.

The 155022-43 C2 cartridges have the capacity to reduce the bad taste and odor of chlorine, and general bad small and taste of filtered water. They are known to be highly efficient to produce healthier and better tasting drinking water. The cartridges are backed with polyester reinforcement and there is external netting around a polypropylene core. They are blended in a unique way to provide additional strength so that it can maximize the capacity of dirt holding.

C2 carbon filters are powered carbon activated cartridges, constructed with carbon impregnated cellulose media. These cartridges are very efficient to remove fine sediment particles and are quite suitable for various ranges of smaller applications. If they are used in congested loop stream, it makes an exceptional polishing filter. The C2 filter is 5 inches in length, and can be easily installed in various systems like standard kitchens or under counter installations, but it is much more ideal for recreation vehicle water filter system and marine water filter system.

These 5 micron carbon and sediment filter cartridges are priced economically. However, if they seem to get a musty or moldy odor, or get disintegrated, it is advised to replace it. Independent tests have shown that the C2 carbon filter is combined with the capacity to provide greater flow rate and long filter life. It can be recommended for purifying chlorinated water supplies.

The C2 PAC Impregnated Cellulose water filters are provided with external netting around the cartridges made out of polyethylene which simplifies identification. Its Filter Core is Polypropylene. The end caps are made out of vinyl plastisol, and the Reinforcement Backing is Cellulose Polyester.

The nominal rating is 5 micron sediment post filter; it allows eradicating carbon fines and other suspended particulate to make the water clearer and better tasting. This filter type can be used with (smaller) water filter housing that require 5 inch length (64 mm x 124 mm) filters.
