The Pentair 155110-43 GAC-5 granular activated carbon cartridges work effectively to produce healthier and better tasting drinking water. GAC-5 is considered to be an achievement in the field of water purification. It consist of granular activated carbon that helps in improving the quality and taste of water. It has been manufactured with a perfect design that allows the maximum contact between water and carbon particles. The close compacted carbon particles allow maximum absorption of impurities present in water.

Pentek has been known since years for its water purifying performance. Its filters improve the quality of water and make it healthier for drinking. The basic performance of GAC-5 filters is actually meant for eliminating the bad taste and odor from the water. Most often we try to purify the water using chlorine soluble, which leaves a bad taste in the water. Pentek has designed its GAC series in order to provide a solution to this problem.

GAC-5 cartridges are made for the effective performance in serving the purpose of water filtration for drinking water. This is a filter that has been designed with a unique construction of GAC Series Cartridges that allows treated water to enter from the one side of the cartridge and let it flow into the whole settled level of the carbon particles. This process allows water to flow at all the places of the cartridges before it exits from the area.

GAC-5 is a fine example in the field of water filters. When the water treated is passing through these cartridges, its post filter with 20 micron rating, helps in reducing the fine particles of carbon and other suspended particles from the water. Its post filter is attached with a permanent basket; this works as an innovative support. It ensures the elimination of all the insolubilities from the water. It is suggested not to experiment with the filter by using micro biologically unsafe water for purification as it may cause problems in your system.

The GAC-5 water filters may contain very small particles of carbon substances, before installing it for next time it has to be cleaned properly. Run the tap for couple of minutes with sufficient amount of water in order to make it safe for consumption.
