Due to its larger surface area, 155312-43 CBC-20BB water filter media purifies maximum quantity of drinking water, and thus, is an excellent choice for domestic as well as commercial purposes. It is certified and tested by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to meet the NSF / ANSI standard 42 for drinking water material requirements. It removes or reduces unwanted effects of chlorination up to 90 percent and purifies the water against micro attacks up to 99.5 percent.

The Carbon Briquette CBC series filters, introduced by Ahdorma, are manufactured at the ISO-9001 registered Pentek Water Filtration. This carbon water filter actively works well even against micro organisms that are not eliminated by other purifiers but are harmful to the health. Its filter media fights against the bacterial attacks and other unwanted foreign materials present in the water in soluble forms. Furthermore, water purified through chlorination, may remain with poor taste and odor. CBC-20BB removes bad taste, smell, and chlorine, from the treated water through active purification.

It is manufactured of polypropylene fiber that is highly acceptable for use in water filters. This provides the durability to the product and increases the flow rate of liquid through the purifier. It is netted with polyethylene and further coated with polyolefin. In fact, along with filter media which is specifically designed as a carbon block system, polyolefin also works upon to block maximum minute particles from the liquid.
