RainSoft Ceramic Candle Type, Sub Micron Filtration. KX Matrikx filters are basically carbon block filters that exhibit unattainable performance in filtering water at a very low price in comparison to other granular activated carbon filters. The cartridges are manufactured with acid washed activated carbons that are highly pure. These filters are well acquainted with the capacity to remove organic chemicals and the taste of chlorine.

As with all KX Matrikx filters, the 20185125083 Ceramikx water filter is one of the most technologically advanced water purification units. This filter is a combination of the traditional ceramic candle filter that helps remove fine particulates, and advanced carbon activated particles which help in reducing the taste of chlorine and odor from the filtered water. The Ceramikx 20-185-125-083 water filter meets the NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for its dirt holding capacity.

On the top of the SC 20-185-125-083 Ceramikx water filter there is a BST screw-in cap. This filter is known to be cost efficient due to its unique combination of activated carbon filter with traditional ceramic candle in one single filter. KX Matrikx Ceramikx water filter can be easily detached from its housing, cleaned with just a wipe of a sponge and reused. The nominal micron rating of this filter is 0.2 and the absolute micron rating is 0.5, which meets the cyst reduction that is based upon NSF/ANSI standard 53.

The SC (screw cap) 20-185-125-083 Ceramic Water Filter is recommended to be replaced according to the instructions provided with the water filter system. It is advised that the filter should be flushed with an ample amount of water for about 5 minutes before initial use. The water that is to be used in this filter should be microbiologically safe and provided with adequate disinfectant methods, since they are not designed to remove viruses and bacteria. It is recommended not to be autoclaved or steam sterilized. .
