Matrikx CR1 0.5 Nominal Filtration Extruded Carbon is a great water filter for combined Turbidity and Cysts reduction and for the effective control of large volumes & concentrations of chlorine, odor and bad taste present in drinking water.
The 1925012520 CR1 carbon block water filter is basically a Cyst and Chlorine Reduction filter. It efficiently reduces cysts as well as high concentrations of chlorine odor and taste. These filters are manufactured using a patented process of solid state extrusion. The 19-250-125-20 filter meets the NSF/ANSI Standard 53 for successfully reducing microorganisms like Cryptosporidium, Toxoplasma, Entamoeba and Giardia, as it successfully can eliminate cysts and turbidity.
These water filters are made from genuine Matrikx brand's extruded carbon. The KX industries Matrikx 19-250-125-20 filter comprises of firm carbon block composite and is ideally suited for use in all kinds of food service applications. The CR1 19-250-125-20 filters are efficient enough to reduce contaminants up to 0.5 micron in size. It has a nominal micron rating of 0.5 and an absolute micron rating of 1 micron. Due to this feature, the water that is treated is pure and sparking clear. Also, since it purifies from taste and odor of chlorine, it is best suited for drinking purposes.
The Cyst and Turbidity reduction feature of the filter is based on NSF/ANSI Standard 53. It has an outstanding capacity of reducing Chlorine odor and taste from the potable water. It has been tested and verified by Independent Laboratory Testing for its efficient performance. The CR1 water filter 19-250-125-20 also has been certified by NSF International for material requirement under NSF/ANSI Standard 42. It has a capacity to reduce chlorine taste and odor from 20,000 gallons at the flow rate of 5 Gallons per minute.
KX Industries specifies to users that the water filter should be replaced in accordance with the instructions provided with the filter system only. It is important that the cartridge be flushed with abundant water for at least 5 minutes before use to improve its performance. Also, the CR1 19-250-125-20 filter must be used in only disinfected and microbiologically safe water. This is very important as the activated carbon filters are unable to completely eliminate all viruses and bacteria for which a UV system might be needed. The KX Matrikx carbon block filter must not be steam sterilized or auto-claved.
